How Can I Ensure My Google My Business Listing Is Correct? Your Google My Business listing can be verified via mail, a mobile device, or a computer.

Verify a company by mail.

Important: While you wait for your verification postcard, do not change your business name, address, category, or ask for a new code. This could make the verification process take longer.

Make sure your address complies with our address entering requirements before requesting verification by mail.

Pick up your postcard.

Important: You might notice delays in receiving your postcard as a result of COVID-19.

Using a computer

  1. Go to Google My Business and log in.
  2. Select the company you want to confirm.
  3. Now click Verify.
  4. Make sure your address appears appropriately on the postcard request screen. You may also include an optional contact name to aid in the delivery of your postcard.
  5. To send a postcard, click.
  6. Your postcard may be found in the mail. Postcards often arrive in 14 days or less.

On your smartphone

  1. Launch the Google My Business application.
  2. Select Send postcard.
  3. Select the company you want to confirm.
  4. I don’t have a code, tap that.
  5. Your postcard may be found in the mail. Postcards often arrive in 14 days or less.

Submit your verification code.

Using a computer

  1. Enter Google My Business after receiving your postcard.
  2. Open the place you want to manage if you have numerous locations.
  3. Select Verify now or Verify location from the options.
  4. Enter the 5-digit verification code from your postcard in the “Code” area.
  5. Hit “Submit.”

On your smartphone

  1. Start the Google My Business app once you have received your postcard.
  2. Select the company you want to confirm.
  3. To confirm, press Enter code.

Select I don’t have a code if you didn’t receive your postcard.
